"The cure may be worse than the disease"! it's sad that everytime I write something that is applicable and regionally specific as the book illustrates, and find not only simularities but a patern that we have been, either long ignoring, or we simply need to know!
Ch.2 went over how sometimes it is necessary for society to control a natural resource like the electromagnetic spectrum. I am not a scientist, so as far as I can understand, it's the radio waves. There would be interruptions, interference and almost described pandaemonium!
also, back in the early 1900's half the power used by industry, you know the part that companies make up, was self generated. The book calls it cogeneration. the price of power dropped when it went big, and people started to abandon due to regulations and convenience. Thats a great way to plan ahead for a real monopoly. When you use money and power to secure and assure ones future. Am I right or wrong!
